The Financial Mathematics online master’s degree is an optimal program for working professionals wishing to pursue the MSFM degree from anywhere with a flexible schedule.

Part-time students can finish the degree requirements in three years, when taking one course per quarter.  However, students are not restricted to one course per quarter and may complete the program full-time if desired.

The online Financial Mathematics program includes a rigorous theoretical foundation that draws on the latest applications in industry, facilitates connections between theory and real-world practice through experiential and project-based learning, and fosters a critical community where students are encouraged to challenge and be challenged by their instructors and peers.

Students engage with their classmates and instructors in face-to-face, weekly video lectures via Zoom with a focus on weekly course work and interactive, group problem-solving and case studies.  Classes are scheduled on weekday evenings at 6 pm Central Time to accommodate most work schedules.

Virtual instructor office hours and TA sessions are available weekly for students to receive continuous support, and every classroom session is recorded and available to students for further review.

Prospective students receive support from our admissions staff to help guide them throughout the application process.  Our dedicated Academic Services team provides continued support throughout the program through academic advising and providing a supportive and enriching student experience.

Our career development office helps students form career plans to reach their goals. This includes developing career advancement plans, resume preparation, interview support, and facilitating networking opportunities.

Virtual one-on-one meetings with career advisors and our Industry Professionals in-Residence are available for online students to receive customized support to help them take the next step in their career path.

Please note that students of the online program will not be CPT or OPT eligible.
