Singapore Program The Financial Mathematics Program to be taught in Singapore

Starting September 2008 the University of Chicago's Master of Science in Financial Mathematics program will be taught in Singapore. The courses will be taught through a combination of interactive video conferencing and live on-site lectures by University of Chicago faculty.
The curriculum and courses are identical to those of the Chicago program. Each course meets 3 hours per week and there are additional tutorial sessions.
The live classes will be taught 8-11am, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and the recorded lectures can be viewed in the classroom from 7-10pm on the same days. The recorded lectures can also be viewed anytime after that on a personal computer through a broad-band internet connection. The tuition is S$6500 for each credit (one 10 week course). A total of 9 credits are required for the Master's degree.

The program will start taking applications for both full and part-time students on March 1 and the dead-line for applications will be May 1. University of Chicago's Master of Science in Financial Mathematics is an approved programme under the Finance Scholarship Programme (FSP) administered by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.  Applicants to the programme may be eligible for FSP funding support on a case-by-case basis.  Interested applicants should submit their applications to the FSDF Secretariat directly before programme commencement.
